Vintage Asian chalk lamp on metal base with original lampshade. This darling girl is doing a fan dance in black, gold, red and chartreuse, with flowers at each ear. The details in plaster of the outline of her thigh, bent at the knee... the delicate draping silk arm of her kimono and the folds of her fans, not to mention GREAT color, make this chalk lamp a rare gem!

The chalk ware is in remarkable shape for its age! In nearly perfect condition save for some flea bites on the fan and hand at the figure's middle. Small areas on the back of the figures skirt look to have been patched at some point, but the finish is a match and does not detract from look or function. The original paint of the metal pedestal base in chartreuse and gold has a few minor chips due to age. The original lampshade in matching chartreuse with brown and gold trim is in great condition for its age, as well. The shade fabric has 2 small threadbare areas along the frames wire and shows some minor staining and one slit in the lining fabric. These fragile lamps only get rarer with each passing year.
